Ink Jet Cartridges WHAT'S THE RIGHT WAY TO HANDLE AN INK/JET CARTRIDGE? Always handle your cartridge with care. Do not touch the print head, or the copper, or the foil contacts. And don't leave the cartridge out in the open as the ink will dry inside and clog the nozzles. Take a few extra seconds and put the cartridge in an airtight plastic bag if you intend to store your cartridge. One more thing-never clean the cartridge with a solvent of any kind. Use distilled water instead.
